Gypsy and Laurie both grew up in Dallas, Tx not knowing one another. They were destined to meet on the beach of South Padre in 2011. Laurie has been a resident for 20+ years as a well known local on the Island. Gypsy's work led her to the Rio Grande Valley and the friendship begin. Both being energetic and very much extraverts, the friendship continued to blossom. Laurie, aka "gabber" (always the entrepreneur) had rental properties in South Padre Island and in McAllen Texas which Gypsy was eager to help her manage anytime a chance arose. As Gypsy, aka "adder" retired from a 40 year career as a controller in the automotive business and Laurie started traveling more, they made a hand shake arrangement as friends that Gypsy would take on more responsiblities of Laurie's rentals. Alas, one day over margaritas in Progesso, MX they decided to birth her - "Sandbucket Beach Getaways, LLC" to assist clients in finding the perfect property for their well deserved vacation experience!
